- Coming to you here from Byron Bay, Australia.
- Takasito is not my real name, but it is a beautiful blog name.
- It has a feel to it that just begs for you to 'take a seat and enjoy'.
- As to me? I love watching Starcraft games, reading books like "The KON-TIKI expedition", eating Thai food, exploring wild areas, my animal friends and the ocean.
- Every year I watch the whales go past from the headlands near my home. They are a part of the landscape, a part of what it is to be me. I will do what I can to protect them from death.
YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THIS BLOG IS PART OF THE IWPO ADMIN ALLIANCE.
The IWPO already represents more than 100 groups with over 300,000 combined members forming a united front against whaling.
We are the people of the international community,
And we will defend the oceans
For they are a common heritage of all mankind.
We are people working to fix a problem on a planet filled with problems.
An alliance of the motivated working to protect whales and dolphins from humans who seek to kill them.
We are people. Lots and lots of people.
People from anti-whaling websites, channels and groups united as friends for a good cause.
People are behind the FAQS, links, pictures, videos, websites, forums and groups.
A lot of people and we work as a team to amplify and compliment the efforts of others working towards the same goal.
We use the IWPO for spreading news with ease to hundreds of thousands of eyes and ears.
It is part of a co-ordinated effort to keep a spotlight upon the whalers.
WHY ARE WE HERE?
Our members are concerned about the killing of whales and dolphins and motivated to do something about it.
We invest our time, creativity and money, some even risk their lives, to bring an end to this blot upon humanity.
The whales are roaming the world's oceans and belong to all countries and people.
Unless a stand is made en masse the killing will continue.
We have unknown populations of protected animals migrating accross oceans and they are being indescriminately killed so that a wealthy few and their pets can eat an exotic meat.
It has to end, and we are here to make that happen as soon as possible.
WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN US?
Because we are going to end whaling and we need your help to do it!
We support action against whalers through the courts, people power, IWC, education, diplomatic pressure, the media, boycotts, protests and direct non-violent action.
Using the internet, we help co-ordinate consumers and citizens.
Small actions multiplied by lots of people equals big changes.
The people of the world will stop whaling and the few who would attempt to stand in the way of this forgone conclusion are merely wasting their effort.
This is just the begining, join us and be part of the end.

CAN I SPEAK TO THE LEADER OF THE IWPO?
There is no leader :)
Some of our members are louder than others.
But they lead the IWPO just as much as our quieter members.
The IWPO is not a person, or a group of persons, its a single collective united for a goal.
We shall proceed to expel whalers and their fans from the internet and systematically dismantle whaling industries no matter the country that shelters them.
The IWPO encourages its members to make their stands against the cult of whaling in whatever way they can.
All of us are leaders, all of us are followers and we can all do things to help the collective.
Our main weapons against whaling are evidence, argument, consumer education and free speech. But more than that, it is people talking with each other, leaving a record and advancing the debate. United we form a hive mind that never sleeps, never tires and has no weakness.
He who controls the internet, controls these days.
It is a small thing to end whaling.
A small thing, easily done.
A few words from the right lips.
But to achieve our aim , we shall never use direct violence upon the whalers, for that is not the way this works.
The violent shall be weeded out and discarded. We do not need their help.
We are good people, but we are angry about the whaling and we will end it.
To those that underestimate us.... you haven't seen anything yet.
FINAL MESSAGE TO THE WHALERS!!
To all the whale and dolphin killers of the world,
You cannot hide in your countries from Green Peace, you cannot hide on the seas from Sea Shepherd and you cannot hide on the internet from the IWPO.
We are coming to shut you down and we come in numbers far greater than your own!
This is the IWPO!
And it exists only to stop you!
